On behalf of the faculty, staff, and students of the University of Missouri-Columbia’s Department of Health Management and Informatics, welcome to the official website of the Department’s graduate student association, HMIGSA (Health Management and Informatics Graduate Student Association). Please take this opportunity to introduce yourself to student life in the HMI Residential Program, and familiarize yourself with who we are and what we have to offer you as a current or prospective member.
While membership in HMIGSA is optional, it is highly recommended by both current students and program alumni. Joining HMIGSA allows you to interact and form bonds with your peers, build your professional network through our career development programs, participate in professional and social activities, and interact with the department and faculty to strengthen bonds between the students and the rest of the department. As an organization, we continually strive to strengthen our school and community involvement, increase the interaction between current students and program alumni, and expand opportunities for our members to further develop their career networks and professional marketability.
Dues for HMIGSA are $50 per year or $25 per semester. Membership often pays for itself through access to valuable MU student life resources and options for travel reimbursement. Feel free to browse the links in the tool-bar to the left to learn even more about the HMIGSA experience.
