Welcome, Mizzou's HKN - Iota chapter founded in 1911 was the eighth Eta Kappa Nu chapter.
HKN Mission and Purpose:
Eta Kappa Nu is a unique membership organization dedicated to encouraging and recognizing excellence in the electrical and computer engineering fields.
“Significantly, in 1939, Maurice Carr wrote that ‘Eta Kappa Nu grew because there has always been many members who have been willing and eager to serve it loyally and unselfishly.’ This is as true today as it was in 1939.”
Eta Kappa Nu is more than an honor society. In addition to bestowing honor on deserving students, it is dedicated to serving the Electrical and Computer Engineering profession as well as society as a whole. HKN renders its service by means of local and national activities. HKN members gain valuable life-long learning experiences through activities with other members. Chapter activities should provide important services and instill personal pride in HKN members.
