RSGSA is a student run organization designed to represent the interests of the Rural Sociology graduate students. As a medium for communication with faculty and administrators the RSGSA assists students in locating and acquiring resources and help they may need while pursing their graduate studies at Mizzou. Student involvement is encouraged and the RSGSA strives to provide opportunities to grow intellectually and professionally through community activities, professional development workshops, and social engagement.
The individuals who make up the graduate student body of Rural Sociology come from a wide variety of interests and backgrounds. From biology and forestry to economics and business Rural Sociology students find their experiences at the University of Missouri to be invaluable. As students in the CAFNR Division of Applied Social Sciences, Rural Sociology graduate students find their education to be practical and intellectual, as well as highly marketable.
